Heritage Bathrooms Cistern lever sleeve replacement
thingiverse
The flusher handle for my Heritage Bathrooms cistern stays securely in place thanks to a plastic sleeve with a flange on the outside that's held tight by a large nut on the inside. However, after regular use, the flange ripped off and couldn't be replaced, causing the lever to become very loose in its hole, making it wobbly. Enter the 3D printer: let's fix this! Update: After several test prints, I found the perfect fit for the nut. The brim on top of the sleeve was too wide to pass through the threads, and the nut needed to be printed a bit larger than its original size. To achieve this, I tried increasing the opening in the nut using Fusion360, but the threads remained the same size, creating a gap between them and the surface. It's possible that my new AmazonBasics PLA is causing some issues for me since I haven't checked the flow and e-steps with this product yet. So, to print the nut, I printed it at 102% in both X and Y directions (not in Z, or the thread wouldn't work!). To ensure a snug fit, I made the washer 3 mm high, which resulted in hardly any lateral give now. I'm happy with the final result!
