Hercules is a legendary comic book hero created by Marvel Comics. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby brought him to life in Journey into Mystery Annual #1 (1965), marking the beginning of his epic journey through the Silver Age of Comic Books. Hercules was inspired by Heracles from Greek mythology, but drew inspiration from the Roman mythological version known as Hercules.
