This marble bust portrays the head of a youthful Hercules, crafted in Rome following a Greek work from approximately 340 BC. This head is identical in type to that on the 'Lansdowne Herakles', an attribute statue created by the renowned Greek sculptor Skopas. Several Roman copies exist of this statue or its head alone. The complete herm would have comprised a four-sided pillar topped with the head. This object is part of "Scan The World", a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory, which aims to create a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from around the globe for public access at no cost.
