Hercules at The Palace of Versailles, France
myminifactory
This majestic marble sculpture of Hercules proudly stands in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles. The robust figure of Hercules is unmistakable, showcased by his powerful physique and a lion skin draped elegantly around his neck. In his left hand, he firmly grasps a club, while his right hand cradles a basket overflowing with apples from his eleventh laborious task, where he bravely retrieved the fruit from the Hesperides. The coveted apples were closely guarded by the daughters of Atlas, who had been transformed into a mountain, and a formidable hundred-headed dragon.
