Hercule Farnese 2.0
sketchfab
A recently updated model from 2013 has been re-examined based on a photographic documentation that was conducted in controlled lighting conditions. The statue, discovered accidentally in the ancient Roman town of Apulum (Colonia Aurelia Apulensis), now known as Alba Iulia, Romania, is set to be revisited soon through the use of structured light scanning as part of the Pantheon 3D program at the museum between 2018 and 2019. A high-quality dense point cloud and mesh are currently available. A structured light scan (Artec SpaceSpider, fast fusion, 1mm) can now be accessed for comparison here: https://skfb.ly/6yLwP
