I designed an innovative prototype for a dugout, specifically tailored for use with wooden filament. A crucial feature of this design is the inclusion of a hole that perfectly accommodates a 3-inch bat. The pit itself is one inch deep, boasting curved edges to prevent any debris from getting stuck in the corners. The top of the dugout features a #5 screw for added stability and security. For the spring mechanism, I recommend utilizing a component from Harbor Freight, or if you prefer a more effortless approach, consider repurposing a pen spring. To ensure a seamless fit and an exceptional visual appearance, I suggest applying sand to the entire surface.
