Her Majesty with Hair
cults3d
Another version of Her Majesty with hair. I didn't do well in grooming the hair, as I was worried about ruining it with too much heat from the hair dryer. The reason I have separate files for the horse and hair is to maintain the accuracy of the hair dimensions, which I modeled in Fusion 360. If I merge the horse and hair into a single solid model in another software, that accuracy will be lost. Having different colors for the hair also served well. Each hair strand has a diameter of 0.2 millimeters. Since my printer's nozzle size is 0.4 millimeters, I thought I could print good-looking hair strands with a layer height of 0.2 millimeters. For some reason, in Simplify 3D I couldn't get good hair printing until I changed the layer height to 0.16 millimeters. I also got much cleaner hair lines when retraction was set to on. This likely depends on the material used. Note: Simplify 3D didn't slice the hair for printing until I changed the settings to allow single extrusion walls (Advanced/Thin wall behavior/External thin wall). I'm not sure what this is equivalent to in other slicers, so be aware of that if you can't see the hair when slicing the model for printing.
With this file you will be able to print Her Majesty with Hair with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Her Majesty with Hair.
