I find it impossible to get a secure grip on my z axis bed no matter how tight I tighten those bolts against its surrounding frame! But once I've added this crucial support, the whole axis system comes to a grinding halt - that movement just disappears. To be honest, you only need one support in each direction because this incredibly rigid frame will hardly shift even with one of these supports in place. For my project, I decided to fasten the 12mm plywood sheet firmly down onto both the printer and the support itself using the same kind of screws shown above.
