Hello Makers, To Do: - Provide some extra details - Update the drawing with missing measurements Update: 13.08.19: Upload all files and pictures. Note: Since I've never used .dxf before, I uploaded the .step-files instead. I made this improvement a while ago but think you'll find it interesting. Y-Carriage in Action: https://youtu.be/BX6AQ-vMw9A The main part is an aluminum plate with a thickness of 6mm or 8mm. I used laser cutting to cut the part and the holes for mounting the linear rail. However, you'll need to create the threads manually. The four holes/threads on the side to mount the plate also require manual creation. For the four MGN9H-carriages, you'll need to drill 16 holes in the original BQ Y-carriage. This mod is designed to fit without any other modifications to your BQ Hephestos 2. I've added the STEP-files so you can make changes and use the dimensions from your CAD to manufacture. Maybe I will upload an updated drawing soon.
