Print Settings Printer: Geeetech i3 Pro X Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Post-Printing Items needed: 1 ea - Honeywell Air Purifier Filters Model HRF-C2, will only use one, save other for replacing after 90 days. 2 ea – 4” 12VDC fans, get the quiet fans, I used NMB model 4710NL-04W-829 2 ea – 4” fan grills 2 ea - Printed PLA Frame interlocking pieces 1 ea – 1’ 10 or 12 gauge red wire. 1 ea - 1’ 10 or 12 gauge black wire. 8 ea – screws 40mm in length, 4 mm dia. Electrical tape 24” of mounting tape (3M) Printed out frame, may have to widen the screw holes. Connected both sides of the frame together. On one side of the frame, mounted both fans and grills with the screws, ensure wires meet in the center. On the other side used double sided mounting tape and taped fan onto the frame, allows for easy removal when replacing filter. Connected red wires to 1’ 10” red wire, solder then and cover with electrical tape. Repeated step using black wires. Connected wires to 12V line and GRN line at power supply. This way when turning on printer, fans automatically turn on. How I Designed This Needed a frame to mount the fans and HEPA filter. May have to modify screw holes to fit fan. Since this is a flat design, can use 0.3mm or 0.4mm nozzle. Used PLA because did not see this frame requiring ABS stiffness.
