The goal was to create a last resort device in case of severe material shortages on respiratory protections. I chose this type of filter due to their efficiency and the cylindrical shape that provides easy sealing and format modification. This filter size helps limit charge loss and increases resistance during inspiration, allowing for longer operation time. These filters are easily obtainable and replaceable. However, there are still some technical doubts to be resolved regarding this device. Key areas of concern include: • Conducting a filtration test with a particle counter on the Dyson filter • Evaluating the effectiveness of the exhalation valve (designed to function with water pressure) • Based on previous results, potentially strengthening the expiratory device performance • Assessing filter usage duration • Evaluating filter efficiency after washing and disinfection • Depending on results, evaluating the lifespan of the filter/nb. cleaning cycles I lack the equipment and skills to evaluate these points of concern.
