Henry IV, born in 1553 and deceased in 1610, was the initial French monarch of the illustrious House of Bourbon. Henry's early life took an intriguing turn as he was baptized into the Catholic faith but raised by a family deeply rooted in Protestantism, which would later contribute to his notable display of religious tolerance during that era. This remarkable cast originates from the Bibliotheque Sainte-Genevieve in Paris and is widely believed to be a direct cast taken from his head immediately following his execution by decapitation in 1610.
