Is the local commander of the 501st giving you grief because you don't have anything resembling a Hengstler on your blaster? This writer's taking on that challenge with this attempt. Here's a detail for a pipe built E11 stormtrooper blaster, which, let's be honest, is totally fake. Who cares if it actually helps the Empire? Everyone knows Imperial stormtroopers can't shoot to save their lives. The Hengstler counter goes on the left side of the blaster, no big deal. If you already know that, congratulations, but probably not because you're a casual observer of this tiny piece. No chance to measure it against a real Hengstler counter yet; if any brave souls out there want to do the math for me, thanks! I've studied reference materials from all over the web, combining drawings and pictures wherever possible. The Blaster Builders Club and White Armour sites are full of useful info. Don't worry if you're thinking "lot of parts" – your K8200 should be able to handle it easily, thanks to no overhangs or bridging required. For now, just know the STL with the Hengstler is for display only; I couldn't bother fixing all its errors in Netfabb, and who knows what the problems might be. The others have been thoroughly checked out, so print on away! Currently tinkering on an M38 scope to go alongside this masterpiece, which could take ages since free time's a rare commodity around here. I'll keep uploading pieces as they get done. The Hengstler_assembled.stl is mostly for your eyes only – use it as you will. It gives the idea of how all the bits fit together – 4 side pieces are the minimum to make it happen. That's right, make four.
