Hengist - road tile casket
thingiverse
As part of a project to have the Hengist boxed components securely stored, I needed a place to hold the road tiles. Looking for Saxon inspiration, I found the Franks Casket [https://www.bl.uk/collection-items/the-franks-casket], and decided an engraved box. It was a learning exercise in Tinkercad with help from PrusaSlicer to simplify the scans for importing. Components: Lid from The Sutton Hoo Ships Company "Anglo-Saxon Dragon Carving" https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/anglo-saxon-dragon-carving-4c160c166b834f54b5090e968b604526 Side panels from The British Museum "Sheffield Anglo-Saxon Cross Shaft" https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/sheffield-anglo-saxon-cross-shaft-b0f2e9290e684bd7bbb55b3f891a0f8b Viking runes from Tony https://www.printables.com/model/105536-viking-runes-elder-futhark Citadel Contrast Wyldwood; wash with Agrax Earthshade; dry-brush in Burnt Umber (Vallejo). Spray varnish. === Reposted from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5442330 on 27/7/22 as Thingiverse did not recognise me as designer.
