Hengist Board Game Organizer Insert
thingiverse
Got bored yesterday and made this organizer for Hengist the board game using Fusion360. I haven't actually played the game but had a lot of fun making this. I have made three changes to the file since I printed the yellow one in the photos. It worked just fine for me but I changed the following. 1. The road cut out was a little tight so I increased its size by 1mm all around. 2. The cards just barely fit vertically so i added 25% to the depth of that cut out to allow for some fluffing of the cards that will come with play. 3. The insert fit perfectly in my game box but just barely. I figured I would add a little more tolerance for that so I have included a second stl file with the outer perimeter reduced by 2mm in each direction. This prints in place with no supports. For the yellow one shown, I used Prusaslicer for the g-code using the default settings for Prusament filament and 0.3 Draft layer height except for three changes. 1. I reduced the infill to 5% 2. I changed the infill pattern to gyroid 3. I set bottom layers to 0 These two changes reduced print time by about half. I was a little worried about it at such a low infill with no bottom but it is very solid and printed just fine. I included a picture of the bottom so you can see how it ended up. I used the smooth bed sheet that comes with the Prusa Mk3S printer with no rafts or glue etc. Print Time ended up being 7 hours 38 minutes and it used 198 grams of filament (66.4 meters).
