Hemnes Photon Printer Enclosure
thingiverse
The Ikea Hemnes high cabinet with glass door, product # 30396641, makes a fantastic enclosure for the original Anycubic Photon printer and printing supplies. You can easily remove the door hinges from the Photon and lift off the door when you need to access the build chamber without taking out the printer from the cabinet. The cabinet features a custom-designed blast gate that allows a Growneer inline exhaust fan to fit perfectly on it. (You can find this product on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075SY5P1K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I modified the exterior vent cap, Dundas Jafine ProVent 4" White Louvered Exhaust Cap Model Number: LC4WZW Menards SKU: 6399126, to fit better in the small window I installed by removing the louvered center and printing a new frame. I'm sharing the files for anyone who wants to do the same. You can also find many other external vent cover options at your local home improvement store. The package includes a vent cap for when you want to remove the hose, two router templates to cut holes in the cabinet's top and window, and a 5/16" router guide, and 1/8" up-cut spiral router bit. I also added a notch to the two shelves used in the cabinet to allow power cords to pass through. A corner bracket is available for mounting the Photon power brick to the underside of the cabinet. I haven't printed the grill planned for insertion into the vent hole yet, but I'll update when it's done. Additionally, I plan on installing a voltage regulator on the duct fan as it seems overkill for the cabinet's size and pulls out heat faster than the Photonster's PTC Heater can handle. For now, I'm compensating by partially closing the blast gate.
