Hemera XS upgrade for the Sidewinder X1. I have been looking for a decent solution but couldn't find one that satisfied all my requirements. So I designed one myself. A big must was to easy assemble/disassemble the printing head. This design has 4 M3 that are accessible from the front. Once removed you take the complete head off and service it somewhere more convenient. The Carriage bracket has 3 M3 size holes to attach it securely to the carriage. It has a ridge at the back that aligns it perfectly vertical. The 4 outer holes are slightly bigger and are used to insert 4 brass M3 inserts. With a soldering iron you can push them flush with the back/front. With these in you can easily attach/remove the printing head. The motor bracket holds 2 ridges to align the Hemera. You can attach the Hemera with 4 M3 bolts to the bracket. NOTE: Be sure you use the right size length bolt, too long and you will damage the Hemera. This bracket includes a mount for the BLTouch (specs for the V3), with a wire guard that keeps the wire away from the nozzle and doesn't interfere with the cooling fan air flow. Marlin config NOZZLE_TO_PROBE_OFFSET { -5, 20, -3 } It has a connector board that holds 2 M3 nuts were you can attach the sidewinder electrical board to. It is slightly offset so the board sits a bit higher. The connector board block attaches to the Hemera motor by removing 2 of the bolts of the back of the motor and replace them with slightly longer ones. Once the board is attached you can attach the sidewinder electrical board to it. As an extra I have an extra spacer block that you can use to mount a cable protection bracket. as the stock ribbon cable is delicate. I used https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3875351 as this one works well. providing you print it accurately. For the fan I modified a design by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4771279 Now the fan sits securely and is out of the way of the Hemera cooling fan. You might have to tweak the homing offset, but with my previous board upgrade it sits perfectly in the corner. Upgrade: Bigtreetech SKR PRO V1.2 32bit control board with 5 TMC 2209 v3.0 With stallguard enabled I'm not using the end stops, I do have marlin bump back by 4mm after it hit it's stops. I used ASA to print the parts, as these are more temperature resistant.
