This 5015 fan duct for the Hemera was inspired by Hangtight's and offers a unique spin on his overall concept. Key design objectives behind this concept include: - The fan is mounted to the right, providing better access to the extruder tensioner. - The air exits the duct, pointing downwards towards the tip of the nozzle. - The Hemera mount features several wire tie points. - One wire tie point is included between mounting screws, allowing you to run the heater wire up the front and tie it to the mount for improved cable management and to prevent wire movement around the mounting screws. - The fan mount wire support points towards the left, enabling wires to be tied in front of the x axis stepper motor. - Height adjustment allows for alignment with the nozzle. Printing Setup No support material is required for either model if properly oriented. Although not necessary, I added support material in the recessed hex area of the fan mount. Version 3 Updated 3-2-2020 Changes: - The fan opening was enlarged to accommodate fan size variations from manufacturers. Version 2 Updated 2-24-2020 Changes: - About .06" was removed from the bottom front of the fan duct to allow for more clearance for bed clips. - The height of the left duct passageway was reduced to accommodate removal of .06", but the internal passage width was increased by .05". - A large fillet was added to the right fan duct entrance to improve airflow.
