HELPING HANDS - MAKERS
cults3d
When soldering you always seem to have too few hands, this device will lend you those extra hands. Helpful both when soldering cables and PCBs. The clamps are designed to hold small wires or parts and can open about 8-10 mm, it is recommended to put heat-shrinking tubing on the clamps for better grip. All components are designed to be printed with no support The recommended material for all components except the base is PETG, the base is easier to print in PLA but can of course also be printed in PETG. The connection between the ball & socket joints will likely not last as long if you print in PLA. When first deciding to print this we encourage you to print both “Ball_Socket” and “Ball_Socket_Tight” and mark the tight one with a “T”. If the one marked with a “T” fits best on top of the normal one the tight one is the one you should choose, if they fit best with the normal one on top you should proceed with that one. There is also a choice if you want to print the base with the balls attached or with threads for the “Ball_Screw”. If you choose to print the “Base_Balls” you can ignore the file “Ball_Screw”. The printed version in the pictures is the “Base_Threads” and “Ball_Screw”, the reason to select this one is the flexibility to remove arms.
