Helping Hands Magnificent Extendo-Arm

Helping Hands Magnificent Extendo-Arm

thingiverse

I've made a simple upgrade for my super basic helper arms, which lengthens the magnifying glass holder. This modification proves to be really helpful when soldering tiny components because it holds the glass farther away from the board I'm working on, offering increased magnification. The extended arm also lets me adjust its height by loosening a screw in the back. I must admit it doesn't look fancy, but it does what I need it to do. You can remove one standard #6 bolt (just drill the hole), or a self-tapping screw if you prefer. M3 screws will work in a pinch too. That's all there is to it! Take apart the magnifying glass on your helper arms, slide in the extendo-arm piece, and then put everything back together again. Print Settings: Printer Brand - Printrbot; Printer Type - Simple Black; Rafts and Supports are optional, so use what you like; Infill - go with 100% if you want to give your tools some extra love
