Helping Hands for Soldering

The original CAD model of a Helping Hands alligator clip vise was unavailable for a toolbox project, so this model is semi-dimensionally accurate using calipers. It's not suitable for creating helping hands but can be incorporated into larger assemblies for close enough dimensions. The model also includes a magnifying glass that might not start a leaf on fire, but it can be tried in CAD or inkjet print out. Alligator clips were borrowed from another GrabCAD post. The SolidWorks assembly allows for the manipulation of sub-assemblies for joints, alligator clips, and magnifying glass, although the step file might not be properly checked due to missing mates causing parts to fall apart. To avoid this, each sub-assembly is saved as a separate part file. Mating the joints was challenging, so a creative solution was implemented using a 'ball' from the joint assembly that breaks references and is inserted into other mounting assemblies. This is the first post, and feedback or suggestions are welcomed. The zip file contains SolidWorks 2015 files while step files can be downloaded from the folder. Spelling of Velleman is uncertain.
