Use this to stabilize the base plate of one of those ultra cheap helping hands with the too-tiny cast iron base.

As seen on reddit but I was negligent on posting the link because the reddit app didn’t give me any notifications of new comments so I assumed it got like 1 or 2 upvotes and that was it and I don’t log in to reddit that often. Sorry reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/functionalprint/comments/aea3u3/was\_tired\_of\_the\_helping\_hands\_tipping\_over/

Print instructions

Category: Tools Print Settings

Printer: Theseus

Rafts: Doesn't Matter

Supports: No

Resolution: .2

Infill: 20

Filament: Priline Carbon Fiber Filled PC Matte Black
Notes:

I recommend printing in a temperature resistant material hot bits of solder land on it or you accidentally briefly bump it with a soldering iron. I printed mine in carbon fiber filled polycarbonate and then arbor pressed the helping hands base into the plastic.

How I Designed This

I used a flatbed scanner to get the dimensions of the base.
