I printed out jscottb's clever design, but it soon became clear that my base had some notable differences. The slanted sides of my base made it tough to get his original design to work seamlessly. So, I decided to make a few tweaks and angle the entry points to compensate for the difference. It's a snug fit, which is actually a good thing - I recommend adding double-sided tape to the bottom for extra stability. Despite the challenges, the design fits well and performs its intended function admirably. The print came out perfectly using Stronghero3D black PETG filament. If you're planning to replicate this design, I'd advise against PLA, as the base needs a bit of flexibility to accommodate the original metal base and navigate past the top section smoothly. TPU would also be an excellent choice for this project.
