Helping Hand Base - Soldering Assistant

Helping Hand Base - Soldering Assistant

thingiverse

I recently disassembled a portable heater and salvaged a small, round weight from it. The weight, which can be seen in the photos above, features holes that allow for easy manipulation. The Helping Hand Base was designed around this weight to prevent any soldering activities from being disrupted by a tipping base. It's also worth noting that my specific weight isn't necessary; ball bearings or no weight at all could also be used. The hands themselves can be sourced and modified from coolant conduit or 3D printed.
