# Right-angle flashlight mount for MTB helmets # ## Helmet ## I designed and used it for a Fox Proframe full face MTB helmet. If your vents aren't in similar positions, you might not have a good spot to zip tie to. This horizontal placement of the zip tie goove holes can be changed for other helmets. That would be a good remix. I can also make a model for your helmet if you provide the desired spacing. ## Flashlight ## I used a Skilhunt HO4 right-angle flashlight. Other flashlights with a single 18650 battery in them would probably work. ## Adjustment ## Use a hair dryer to bend the arms of the snap clamp together if it's not tight enough. The flashlight should rotate by hand to adjust beam angle, but not slide side to side. ## Reflections ## Because the flashlight is mounted on the helmet below the visor, if too high of a beam angle is used you'll get annoying reflections off of the underside of the visor. Using a highly light absorbent coating can fix this.
