Helmet Mounted Bicycle Mirror

thingiverse

This text details the creation of a helmet-mounted cyclist rearview mirror. It includes a base and disc for attaching a mirror, along with a generic mirror mount for one-inch (25.4mm) mirror discs. Additionally, a stencil is provided to help users cut mirror discs easily from cheap hand mirrors or broken pieces using a carbide glass scribe. The instructions involve printing the parts at 10% size, attaching the base and mirror to the helmet with double-sided tape, inserting a wire or paperclip for adjustment, bending it as needed, and securing it in place with glue. If the wire is damaged or the mirror falls off, users can simply print another set of parts and reattach them. OpenSCAD files are also included to allow users to customize the base or disc if desired.
