Helmet lock bracket for a 2022 Yamaha MT-09 motorcycle. The helmet lock itself can be obtained from Amazon for the 2014-2017 MT-09 model. This 3D-printed bracket will allow fitment to the 2022 MT-09.Hardware needed: M3x10 bolts & nuts (3x), M6 nut (1x), helmet lock unit (from Amazon for the 2014-2017 MT-09 - see the picture).Instructions:Print parts at 100% infill for maximum strength.Drill out the 6 mm diameter hole in the printed lock bracket piece (the hole is filled in to allow for smoother bridging over the nut cutout). You could use a 15/64" or 1/4" drill bit instead of a 6 mm bit.Fit the M6 nut in the nut cutout. You may need to file the cutout edges if the fit is tight.Remove the metal bracket from the Amazon lock (you won't need the metal bracket - just the lock part). Use the M6 bolt that comes with the lock to fasten it to the printed bracket. There is a notch in the end of the bracket - this should align with the peg on the lock.Insert 3 M3 nuts into the nut cutouts at the top of the printed lock bracket. You may need to file the cutouts if the fit is tight.Remove the MT-09 seat and left side seat bracket bolts, and screw the printed frame bracket on using the seat bracket bolts.Slide the lock bracket assembly behind the MT-09 seat frame so the M3 holes line up with the corresponding holes in the printed seat bracket. You may need to push against the plastic seat compartment slightly to allow the bracket to slide in.Use the 3 M3 bolts to fasten the lock bracket to the seat bracket.9 Replace the seat.Done!
