Helmet Clip / Ski Goggle Strap Retainer for Giro Ledge

Replacement strap for Giro Ledge ski goggle retainer because mine broke. Likely fits other helmets or would take minimal modification to convert for other helmets. I printed in PETG as it's more flexible than PLA so I expect less risk of the clip snapping in the cold. I used 60% infill on the interior piece because it takes a little bit of force to shove it into position and I didn't want to break it. Printing: Print outer clip on side - easy to print and weakness (layer boundary) is not in a direction that sees any force. You will need: * These objects (obviously) * Bolt: ~1 in (25 mm), <4.5 mm diameter - I used a #6-32 x 1 in * Nut that fits your bolt's threading * Washers (maybe not necessary) Assembly: Squeeze inner piece into gap in foam at back of helmet, use bolt/nut to affix outer piece to inner piece.
