Hells Kitchen Logo - LED Back-lit
thingiverse
This is an exact replica of the logo featured on the reality series Hell's Kitchen. Many people who've seen pictures of my office have asked for one, and since I can't sell them due to trademark issues, I'm sharing this instead. This is my second iteration of the model, and it prints and assembles much more smoothly than the first. The LEDs are arranged in a continuous line: 1. Starting from the bottom of the fork where the wall has a gap, go up the inside-wall on the 'K' side of the fork to the 'Join Bracket'; 2. Move over to the 'K' and follow the outside wall until you reach the 'Join Bracket'; 3. Go up the top of the fork until you get back to the 'Join Bracket'; 4. Move over to the 'H' until you reach the 'Join Bracket'; 5. Go down to the bottom of the fork. Hardware Information: • 8 - M3x8mm screws • DC LED module with RF Remote Control - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0144CIMSQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 • U12v Flexible 5050 RGB LED Strip Lights (16.4 ft/5m) -https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006LW2NJM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 • 12v PowerSupply to connect the DC LED Controller. The model uses approximately 13ft of the LED Strip. The type of strip you choose doesn't matter, but keep in mind that strips with waterproof coating will take up more space inside the logo and may not fit at some points inside the letters and fork. The 'Mounting Template.stl' is only used to help align and level the mounting holes on your wall. Don't leave it on the wall. Minimum X/Y bed size required for printing is 220x220mm. Total Fork Length is 588mm. For beds smaller than 590mm, print the 'Top Fork' and 'Bottom' fork models separately. If you have a large enough bed, print the 'Fork (full)' model instead. Note 1: The more solid the infill, the less the LEDs will show through the sides. Ultimately, you want the light to only come out of the back. Note 2: Don't scale the model up or down. If you do so, the screw holes may not fit any screws you try to use. Scaling this model at your own risk is recommended. Note 3: The screw holes have a 0.2mm layer over them so that no supports are needed. The single layer just needs to be removed after printing. This is where bridging comes in.
