The knuckles are positioned opposite each other, making it easy for users to assemble the parts together. When uploading an STL file for someone else, it often comes out too large. To fix this, try scaling it down to 3 and you'll end up with prints similar to the ones in the image. Looking at the image, I printed the blue one on my Type A Machines Series 1 from 2014 - still working out some kinks that have developed over time. The purple one was printed on my LulzBot Series 5, and it turned out great.
