Hellboy bursts onto the scene as a one-of-a-kind superhero masterminded by ingenious writer-artist Mike Mignola. His very first appearance electrified attendees at the prestigious San Diego Comic-Con Comics #2 back in August 1993, and from that moment forward, he took center stage in a plethora of self-titled miniseries, standout one-shots, and action-packed intercompany crossovers. Since then, his remarkable exploits have been skillfully brought to life on the big screen by Hollywood magic in not one, but two live-action feature films released in 2004 and 2008, both boasting iconic Ron Perlman as Hellboy himself, with two more films making their straight-to-DVD debut and no fewer than three engaging video games showcasing his electrifying presence – Asylum Seeker, The Science of Evil, and, notably, a pivotal playable character in Injustice 2. Taking the stage once again, an enthralling reboot helmed by the charismatic David Harbour roared to life in 2019.
