Helix Ring with Stand
thingiverse
The Helix Ring with Seven Balls' extension features a stand with reversed helix direction, allowing for gripping and spinning of the ring while balls spin inside. Crafted in ZBrush, it was printed using ReplicatorG, MakerBot Replicator2, 10% infill, 0.200 layer height, 1 shell, 90 feedrate, 150 travel feed, and 230 temperature. A raft with full support was used, taking over five hours for printing at a 100 mm height; removal of support structures proved time-consuming due to seamless parts movement.
