Helix Casing

Ridwan S designed the "Helix Casing" model using SolidWorks 2014 and rendered it with KeyShot 5. The casing has two modes - stand (tilted) and sit (recumbant) - to cater for different uses while keeping production costs low by utilizing a single main casing part. The casing is easy to repair or service, thanks to its locking fastener system. It's made of plastic via injection process, with some parts requiring glossy paint and matte texture finishes. Chrome plating is required for the "CFR & CFL" sections, which may be split if recommended by the mold maker. The model can be downloaded for free on GrabCAD, but users are encouraged to show appreciation by hitting the "♥" button.
