Heliospheric Observatory Satellite Stand.
thingiverse
I created a model of the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory by William Keeter, DMI/NASA, and needed a stand to showcase it more effectively. After researching custom stands, I couldn't find one that met my requirements, so I designed my own in Fusion 360. My goal was to create a stand that would tilt the model slightly to the side, highlighting its solar panels in a better way. The printed design is basic but sturdy (with 30% infill), and features chamfers on the front of the support arms and base for aesthetic purposes only. If you want to speed up the printing process, try setting the infill rate to 20% or lower, along with a larger layer height. I opted for a smoother finish, which took approximately 3.5 hours to complete. Feel free to customize the color or design as needed, adapting it to your personal preferences without any limitations.
