Helios front lens cap
thingiverse
Hey! I designed a front lens cap for old Helios lenses because I had some without caps. This cap fits all Helios models from 44M up to the 44M-7. It may also fit other lenses with the same diameter, but it won't work on slimmer top models like the 44-2. Sometimes sibling models have the same paper specs, but in reality, there can be small differences - usually around 0.1mm - so the cap might fit snugly on one and a bit loose on another. We can't do much about it until we use rigid materials. With TPU or other flexible materials, you can scale down the design a little and it will fit every single model perfectly. I printed mine on an Ender 3 with a 0.4 nozzle, and it turned out great - it fits well. Make sure to adjust your printer settings according to its accuracy and material used. You might need to set offsets or scale the design slightly. I recommend printing only a part of the ring first, so you can test it without wasting materials on a full cap. If you have any issues or want to suggest improvements, let me know in the comments! Feel free to share your own prints too. If my work has been helpful, consider supporting me.
