Helicopter Rotor
grabcad
The main rotor or rotor system in a helicopter comprises multiple rotary wings (blades) with a control mechanism that generates lift force for weight support and thrust against drag during forward flight. Unlike tail rotors, these blades are mounted vertically at the top of the aircraft, connected via drive shafts and gearboxes along the tail boom. Blade pitch is manipulated by a swashplate in conjunction with the helicopter's flight controls.
