You can open the model in 3DS Max 2010. There's a custom script that converts tris to quads, but it's not specifically designed for this model and is instead offered as a gift for use on other models - just call up vb_quadrangulate. Another customized script available for retopology of the model is Instant Meshes Bridge + Instant Meshes, which isn't tailored to this particular model but can be used on others as a gift.
