Helicoprions were an species of Eugeneodontids (cousins of rat fish and sharks) who thrived during the late Paleozoic Age. Helicoprions are characterized by a whorl of teeth in the lower jaw akin to a buzzaw that they most probably used to slice soft prey lice cephalopods.
