Based on a YouTube video by Grand Illusions (https://www.youtube.com/user/henders007), titled Helicone (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkmBLPHGp0E), I recreated this fascinating model. The animation process was quite challenging, with 31 motors controlling each moving part, all using distinct segment tables. I used Solidworks 2015 for modeling, Simlab Composer 6 Mechanical Edition for rendering, and Photoscape to create GIFs. IrfanView assisted in editing the renders. The model is available in various formats such as Solidworks 2015, Simlab Composer 6, DAE, STEP, IGES, STL, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, and 3DS.
