Helicoid lock
grabcad
The automatic device operates without external energy sources; it harnesses the weight of an upper container, partially converting and storing its energy in compressed springs. Mounted at the lower container's corners, this invention offers two concepts: a lock that rotates with adjustable springs and gaps for operation (lock variant), or a lock that rotates and moves forward (bayonet variant). The device converts translational motion to rotary motion using a helicoid mechanism similar to a camera lens or mop spinner. Before moving into production, some improvements are necessary: clarifying part dimensions, designing a frame for mounting and securing all components in the bottom fitting, selecting appropriate springs (compression or torsion), potentially incorporating standard ball screws (nuts), possibly utilizing rubber diaphragms to shield against dirt, and ensuring proper tolerances, clearances, rigidity, and self-alignment. Remember, this is just a concept!
