Helical Jar/Container

I was gazing at my mundane coffee cup holder when a more captivating image flashed into my mind. I quickly sketched out a design and printed it using the pause feature on my Rep 2, which allowed me to create intricate details. The color scheme was inspired by lighthouses, evoking the feeling of a carefree summer vacation. From this angle, you can see an interesting perspective, almost making you hesitant to put anything inside. A word of caution: it appears that the Pause at Z feature has a bug (present in firmware 7.3 and 7.4) which causes it to malfunction when printing objects taller than approximately 83mm, instantly stopping the print. To work around this issue, I had to measure the top three layers with calipers mid-print, manually halting the process to switch filaments. Perhaps Makerbot will rectify this flaw soon.
