Helical drive coupling

Connecting a Stepper Motor to an ACME Rod: A DIY Experiment To link my stepper motor directly to the ACME rod, I designed a custom helical coupling that would allow me to print the required component in-house. As I began printing, I was excited to see how well this design would perform, and I'm pleased to report that it turned out even better than anticipated. However, I must emphasize that any claims about performance or durability are purely speculative at this point. I'll be putting my newly printed helical coupling through its paces to test its capabilities, but for now, I can only offer cautious optimism. Design Files and Customizations For those interested in replicating this design, I've included the CAD files for both OpenSCAD and Alibre Design 2011. If you require a specific motor shaft or rod diameter that isn't currently supported by my design, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'll be more than happy to generate custom files tailored to your needs.
With this file you will be able to print Helical drive coupling with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Helical drive coupling.
