Helical Doorstop with Easter Egg

I printed my design at 70% scale and was pleased with the results. Scaling up to full size would likely be too bulky for most doors. This is a custom doorstop that I designed and printed as part of a basic 3D printing class I'm currently taking. One requirement of the class was to design and print our own doorstops. As a mechanical designer with experience, I wanted to do more than simply extrude a triangle, so I created a helical doorstop with an added feature. When viewed from the correct angle, my part resembles a typical octagonal stop sign (especially when painted). The helical shape also allows for tightening the doorstop under a door. This design works surprisingly well on carpeted floors, but is less effective on hard flooring.
