Helical antenna for Inmarsat
thingiverse
This is a left-hand circular polarized (LHCP) helical antenna designed specifically for Inmarsat receivers. My personal creation is heavily inspired by the original design I stumbled upon at UHF-Satcom.com, with significant improvements made in regards to mounting mechanisms for both the reflector and the helix wire components. Below are step-by-step instructions to successfully build your own LHCP Helical Antenna for Inmarsat reception. Detailed specifications of the antenna's design can be found on my blog at http://diebastelkammer.wordpress.com/2014/09/21/helix-antenne-fur-parabolspiegel-um-inmarsat-zu-empfangen/, along with comprehensive documentation and photographs that demonstrate the assembly process. The following components are required for successful antenna construction: 1, Aluminum sheet metal with a thickness of 0.8mm 2, Solid copper wire measuring 2.5 mm in diameter 3, M3 bolts with matching nuts for secure attachment 4, SMA sockets for connectivity purposes 5, Pre-manufactured plastic components designed specifically for this antenna model
