2 1/2 years ago my daughter had a devastating brain hemorrhage at age 30, which has left her bedridden and paralyzed from the left side. She requires constant care and is consistently misplacing her phone, TV remote control, and other essential items in her bed. I created this project to provide a convenient storage space within easy reach. The mounting brackets are designed to fit padded hospital-style bed bumpers and I've included the rs.doc files (for DesignSpark Mechanical, free from RS) if anyone needs to modify them. The tray on top was an afterthought, suggested by one of her carers, who thought it would be a great place for her cup to practice picking up and putting down accurately.
