The Heinkel He-177 A-5, a German heavy bomber, was once stationed at 2./KG 100 in France during WWII. This model has been meticulously recreated in cinema4D, offering detailed close-up renders. The zip file contains bodypaint textures and standard materials for seamless use. Featuring an inside scene with a model, 18 textures, 1 material, and 1 alphamap, the model boasts no cleaning up necessary and is compatible with lwo,3ds, fbx, c4d, and obj formats. Notably, in lwo, 3ds, fbx, and obj files, the 1 alphamap (Run_Alpha) must be manually loaded into the Alphacanal or Transparency canal. The c4d version is R16, with a polygon count of 138,744 and vertex count of 93,499, comprising 26 objects, 18 textures, 1 material, and 1 alphamap. When initially designed in 1936-37, the He-177 was an advanced heavy bomber with numerous innovations such as coupled engines, surface evaporative cooling, remote-controlled turrets, pressurized crew compartments, and a unique landing gear arrangement. However, the DB 604 coupled engines often caught fire in flight. By the time the A-5 was introduced in 1942 with improvements, it was too late for Germany. Some He-177s were used as maritime patrol aircraft in France, against Russia, and in the "little Blitz" against England but ultimately proved to be "too little, too late." By 1944, all available fuel was needed for fighters, leaving most He-177s to be destroyed by strafing allied aircraft on airfields. Today, no original models survive, and the He-177 was the only heavy bomber built by Germany in quantity during WWII.
