The Heinkel He.111 was a German bomber used extensively by the Luftwaffe on numerous fronts in Europe and Africa during World War II. This model is an accurate historical re-creation of the coded VG+ES aircraft, integrated into the STG (Geschwaderstab) 3 unit group. Based at Derna in Libya, it was operational throughout the summer of 1942. This He.111 served as a personnel transport for Erwin Rommel across North Africa.
