Micrometer for my sharpening jigs. It lays flat on the surface of the jig, allowing precision height adjustment of tools within the jig. Each notch on the thumb wheel should be 0.001" apart, as a 1.27mm pitch thread translates to 0.050" per revolution and a total of 50 notches in the wheel. To remove another 0.001", simply move one notch, loosen the bit, and lightly push it up from underneath until it contacts the micrometer. Then, retighten the jig.
