Height Gauge
thingiverse
This is a height gauge I needed for my workshop on the table saw and router table. I created it so it can be calibrated before use. I took the time to lightly sand the top of the calibration flange to sharpen the points just a bit to increase the accuracy of the gauge. The rule holder can either ride the tool or bit up to the desired height or you can set a height and lock it in using the rear knob. I drilled a 4mm tap into the locking knob hole so that it would screw in and out smoothly without any resistance. I placed 4mm holes in the rule holder and the feet of the gauge body for small magnets. The gauge also uses the following: 4 pieces of 4mm x 10mm cap screws for the calibration flange 4 pieces of 4mm flat washers for the calibration flange 1 piece of 4mm x 30mm cap screw for the rear lock knob (use a touch of CA or tap the locking hole in the gauge body so that the knob will not spin freely on the screw) 1 piece of Starrett 6" steel rule part number C303R-6 If you have any suggestions on how to improve this gauge please let me know otherwise enjoy and I hope it helps you in your own creative projects.
