When printing @jgrg1 's insert for the game Hegemony, I noticed there's space for pieces to fall out next to the player mats. I don't yet own the DLCs, so maybe you could fit the bag there for one half, so you need only 1 part. Provided multicolor and one-colored variants.The spacers fill this space out and prevents pieces falling out from the trays. Box size shouldn't matter, the card tray V2s from the original should save enough space. Otherwise use the same 99.65% scaling mentioned in the original description.
